Supporting the Asia Pacific region, Petrofac Training has operations based in Malaysia, Singapore, Indonesia, and Sakhalin, Russia.
Headquartered in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, our primary focus is on providing a range of technical and specialist training and consultancy solutions to our customers across the region.
Throughout the Asia Pacific region we also provide health & safety and critical incident management training, and a specialised service, delivering custom built process training systems, designed and engineered for training operations and maintenance personnel, primarily for the international oil & gas industry.
In Sakhalin Petrofac training has officially opened its new training centre, the Sakhalin Technical Training Centre (STTC), to be operated by its technical training business, PKT. The centre was opened by its general director, Malcolm Young, on Wednesday 11 June 2008 at 12pm.
The STTC has been developed to meet an increased demand for competent workforces in Sakhalin and demonstrates Petrofac Training’s commitment to sustainable development for the island. Customers at the STTC will achieve the necessary standards of competence required by the Russian Federation of Mandatory and Vocational Training. The centre houses the latest competence-based training aids and systems combining underpinning theory with hands-on practical training.
In agreement with the Singapore Economic Development Board (EDB), Petrofac Training are contracted to operate and manage a new world-class technical training centre in Singapore in their continued effort to grow, develop and maintain competent workforces globally.
Located on Jurong Island, Singapore, the Chemical Process Technology Centre (CPTC) is a state-of-the-art technical training centre designed to meet the needs of the energy, chemical and process engineering industries. It incorporates a live hydrocarbon processing plant, specialist equipment laboratories, fully equipped classrooms and a 200-seater auditorium. The centre was conceptualised and executed by industry players, in close collaboration with the Singapore government and educational institutions in Singapore.
