facilities
Our training facilities across American operations comprise purpose built classrooms and practical training facilities from which we deliver our competence-led training portfolio.
In Trinidad and Lafayette our facilities comprise bespoke emergency management simulators fully equipped with IT and audiovisual capabilities to recreate emergency scenarios to train managers and their teams to deal with emergency situations. We can also deliver our critical incident management training portfolio at our customers premises using our unique mobile emergency management simulators.
Across the Gulf of Mexico we have two training facilities offering a range of survival training courses. In partnership with the University of Lafayette, with their training arm, the Marine Survival Training Center (MSTC), we provide the Petrofac Training curriculum in BOSIET and FOET courses complete with accreditations for US personnel wishing to work in the UKCS. Together with MSTC, we also offer a range of marine training courses accredited to USCG and STCW standards.
In 2006, Petrofac Training and the Shell Robert Training Center in Robert, Louisiana, formed a relationship, which resulted in personnel from Petrofac Training's US operations providing Shell's own Water Survival course from the Robert center. Shell has introduced the course as a compulsory requirement for all of its own personnel and all contractors who visit Shell installations in the Gulf of Mexico more than three times in any one year and the course is managed and run by Petrofac Training incorporating our expertise in the challenging HUET drills and exercises..
Most recently we have formed a partnership with the Louisiana State University (LSU) to provide Helideck Landing Officer training delivered in a practical fire training area..
Across our protfolio, training provided in collaboration with partner institutions is provided by our specialised and experienced training instructors, from course format right through to delegate assessments.
