Petrofac Training offers a wide range of training and assessment in the area of competence assurance management. The company has considerable experience and expertise in the design and implementation of competence management systems, (including the Petrofac Competent Workforce Scheme), which are developed to ensure that personnel can display the skills and knowledge required to undertake their job in a demonstrable and measurable way.
Our training and assessment is designed to define standards of competence and develop and deliver a structured assessment and verification process. The training and assessment is conducted by our highly experienced team comprising competence assessors, verifiers and specialist trainers who can operate both on and offshore.
Our competence management system includes the analysis of a company's existing structure and systems, and we are experienced in both individual and organisational level training need analysis. We identify appropriate competence standards, which can be through a National/SVQ route or to company specific standards.
We are practised in assessing and verifying against a variety of awarding body national standards and various internal competency systems. In the UK Petrofac Training is approved through the SQA to deliver A1 (Assessor) & V1 (Verifier) training, and is also an Engineering and Construction Industry Training Board (ECITB) approved provider of this training.
In addition to formal assessment we offer assessor and verifier refresher skills training. If companies do not need A1 qualified assessors, in-house programmes can be designed for them. We provide formal accreditation against L20 (Support Competence achieved in the workplace) and for those organisations aspiring to give personnel assessment skills but no formal qualification, tailored training programmes can be produced.
