International support

Since as early as 2002, Petrofac Training Services have provided a range of Emergency Response Management services to HESS, including, emergency response facilities and training and exercise coordination services.
We continue to build on our already strong relationship with Hess, signing a three-year contract with the global energy company in 2011.

The scope of our work is designed to provide Hess with an integrated emergency response support service. This will cover Hess operations in the Europe-Eurasia Region for the duration of the contract.

The principal aim is to achieve consistency, connectivity and continuity in maintaining effective emergency response preparedness.

A key function of our role is to provide a proactive service. We will:

  • lead Hess on all emergency response and crisis management processes and competence
  • ensure that capability is robust and proportionate to the response demands of the organisation
  • ensure that capability aligns with corporate policy

Achieving our aims will involve conducting competence based training and exercises, and testing response systems delivered at all three levels – operational, tactical and strategic – within Hess.

Our input is targeted at Hess operations in Europe and North Africa: we support Hess in Denmark, Norway and the UK (Aberdeen and its regional support response centre in London), plus project work in Russia.

To meet the company’s specific requirements, training courses are bespoke. For ease and efficiency, our instructors deliver all training at Hess premises.

“Petrofac have in the past two years expanded their scope of supply for HESS from a UK operations base to now cover a large part of our international operations, in a number of diverse locations. I can confidently and strongly recommend Petrofac as a reliable management service provider, and experts in their field.”
