Our Chemical Process Technology Centre (CPTC) delivers an extensive range of competence based technical training and assessment. Its focus is the development of operations and maintenance personnel in the oil, gas and petrochemical industries. Petrofac Training Services has co-managed the CPTC since 2008, as part of a joint venture with the Singapore Government.
CPTC operates a hydrocarbon process plant solely for training purposes. Delegates gain invaluable hands-on experience as a result. Our range of competence based operations and maintenance training covers shift rotation, permit to work with task risk assessments, start-up and shutdown exercises, and emergency response and fire drill exercises.
CPTC facilities
- A live process plant for practical operations training – fully equipped with a distillation system and chemical laboratory, plus control room
- 1 Flowserve laboratory with various cutaway pumps and pump training rigs, plus separate classroom
- 1 Yokagawa laboratory with mini process simulator and DCS, plus various instrumentation and test equipment
- 4 Honeywell equipped classrooms
- 1 Safe System of Work training suite with process skid and extensive safety training equipment
- 1 major emergency management training simulator
- 10 classrooms of varying size and capacity
- 2 computer based training and e-learning classrooms
- Conference room
- Auditorium – 200-person maximum capacity
