HSE Instructor/Advisor

Role

To deliver HSE related training courses & provide HSE guidance to the project teams.

Key Responsibilities

- Deliver HSE related training courses at Petrofac or clients facilities as required.
- Prepare course teaching materials including PowerPoint presentations and handouts.
- Plan and conduct practical exercises.
- Conduct research for the development of course materials.
- Follow and comply with Petrofac Training International Standards
- Follow and comply with relevant HSE regulations and best practices
- Ensure the health and safety of delegates under his/her responsibility
- Assess delegates against relevant standards
- Actively partake in personal development
- Identify and report out of date practices/information to the HSE Team Leader
- Provide clients with detailed student progress reports containing the assessment, level of competence, attendance and behaviours of the trainees
- Provide technical support for marketing and new projects
- To advice, assist and guide individuals and departments regarding HSE, hereunder workplace environment
- Carry out safety inspections and audits as agreed with operational departments
- Carry out risk assessment and Work Permit consultancy
- Carry out inspection and evaluation of contractors HSE performance
- Carry out investigation of incidents and near miss
- Instructor at internal training and safety courses as deemed necessary
- Develop training programs and materials
- Participate in development and implementation of the HSE organisation and the HSE management systems
- Assist with development and implementation of HSE concepts and guidelines
- Assist with development and implementation of safety procedures and plans
- Promote reporting and communication systems, which will stimulate our HSEQ culture, best practice.
- Provide HSEQ coaching and audit support where required.
- Develop and deliver a comprehensive support and advice service on all aspects of Health, Safety and Environment issues.
- Monitor and review health and safety policies and practices as required
- Develop and deliver health and safety training packages and programmes where required and evaluate their effectiveness.
- Maintain an up-to-date knowledge of current legislation by contact with appropriate organisations and bodies.
- Provide guidance and support to other members of the team and assist in their professional development
