Paul Groves
Managing director

Paul Groves joined Petrofac in June 2009. Managing director of Petrofac’s Training Services business, Paul has overall responsibility for developing and running the group’s global training and consultancy business.

Paul previously worked with Shell from 2001, where he held a number of business development-led roles within the organisation. A Chartered Engineer and Scientist, Paul started his career as a lecturer of physics at Oxford University before moving into a number of management and development roles in organisations such as Alcan Aluminum Limited and British Gas/BG PLC.

 

Peter Conner
Service development director

Peter Conner has worked in oil & gas related positions for 30 years. Having joined Petrofac in June 1999, Peter has held a number of management roles with the Company; covering our safety, survival, fire, emergency management, and well services training divisions, and training management services. Peter has also held responsibility for Training Services’ regional operations.

Following this wealth of experience Peter is now delivering and responsible for service development within the Company, including the implementation of a standardised project management methodology, documentation management system, and all training and competence management solutions for our customers. Peter is a chartered member of IOSH and has a NEBOSH diploma.


 

Dave Lomax
Finance director
Dave Lomax joined Training Services in September 2005 following 16 years at National Oilwell UK, nine of which were in the position of Finance Director. Dave brings a wealth of experience as Finance Director with international experience in the oil & gas market from European, North American and Caspian Regions and possesses strong Financial, IT and Management skills with particular success in acquisitions, restructuring and the profitable development of service and product oriented, multi-site businesses.


 

Andrew O'Connor
Regional director - Middle East, Africa and Central Asia

Andrew takes regional responsibility for the Middle East, Africa and Central Asia operations of Training Services.

With more than 13 years’ experience of working in international markets, Andrew joined Petrofac from training and consultancy business IPETQ based in Kuwait. In this role Andrew was primarily responsible for providing training and turnkey solutions for the energy, service and education sectors.


 

Gordon Caird
Regional director - Europe

Gordon has regional responsibility for the Europe operations of Training Services. Gordon holds in-depth knowledge and understanding of the Company having worked with Petrofac Training Services for the past 25 years. Initially responsible for developing emergency response training in line with industry guidelines and standards, Gordon then held the post of HSEQ manager for over 10 years, before becoming business unit manager for Aberdeen and Dundee, and previously manager for Europe operations. Gordon is a chartered member of the institute of occupational safety and health.

 


 

Phil Costelloe
Regional director – Asia Pacific
Phil Costelloe joined Training Services in May 2006 following the acquisition of PKT and PCI companies from the PPS Group. Phil has regional responsiblilty for Training Services' Asia Pacific operations.
